Chefs Tip: Season with flour and braise in a well oiled ovenable hot pan. When caramelised add a tin of dark ale, or 1 - 2 pints of Beef Stock, with chopped carrots and onions. Place in a preheated oven at 160°C for approximately 2 - 3 hrs, or alternatively after braising steak in the pan, transfer along with all other ingredients into slow cooker and leave to cook for 6 - 7 hours. Serve with Mashed Potato or Champ.
